Oceans Forward: Leverages technology to empower communities to bring about ocean conservation. Oceans Forward supports innovative science and local actions that have the potential to scale up and change the world.
Abstract:
DomSeTCO has been working in Dominica for many years teaching ocean and island conservation. Island ecosystems are fragile at best and with human intervention can become destabilized quickly. DomSeTCO has worked tirelessly for years conserving the sea turtles that make Dominica their home either permanently or temporarily. This project has dual purpose: first, to elucidate the habitats frequented by nesting leatherbacks in the waters of Dominica and their migratory routes for determining sites for high seas MPA's; Second, to be models in the classroom for the global nature of populations and how one small island can effect a global population.

Data Records
The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 163 records.
This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.
Versions
The table below shows only published versions of the resource that are publicly accessible.
